How do I edit my existing deals?

    • To edit your existing deal, first navigate to the new ads dashboard by clicking on the Ads tab of your business account and then clicking “Manage ads.” Next, click on your existing ad listed under the “Your ads” section. Here, you can edit your target areas, your ad content (including copy, photo, and call-to-action), or your budget by clicking the edit icon. Click “Done” to save your changes.

Can I change my Local Deal's target neighborhoods?

    • Your deal's targeting (where your ad is shown) has been converted from neighborhoods to the ZIP codes those neighborhoods were within. To edit targeting, first navigate to the new ads dashboard by selecting “Manage ads” on the “Ads” tab of your business account. Then, click on your existing ad listed under the “Your ads” section. Then, click the “Edit” button to the right of the “Sponsored areas” header. From here, you may remove any ZIP codes the ad is currently targeting or add additional ZIP codes. Click “Done” to save your changes.

Can I edit my Local Deals budget?

    • Your deal’s budget has been converted from a price per neighborhood to a daily budget. To edit the budget, first navigate to the new ads dashboard by selecting “Manage ads” on the “Ads” tab of your business account. Then, click on your existing ad listed under the “Your ads” section. Then, click the “Edit” button to the right of the “Budget” header. From here, you may change your daily budget by moving the slider to the right or left. If your Local Deal is set as recurring, you may also set an end date for your ad by deselecting the “Run ad continuously” button and then choosing a duration.

Where do I find my receipts?

    • To access your receipts going forward, first navigate to the new ads dashboard by selecting “Manage ads” on the “Ads” tab of your business account. Then, select the “Settings” option in the upper left corner. The transaction tab will display all charges on your card and you can select the “view” option to the left of the charge to view and download a PDF receipt. Note: Receipts are only available on non-mobile devices, such as desktop or laptop computers.

How can I create a new deal or other ad?

    • To create a new ad, navigate to the Ads tab and then click "Manage ads". In the upper right corner of your new ads dashboard, you will see a "+" button. Click this to start a new ad.
    • Step 1: Select your goal. Here you’ll choose your goal to help determine what ad format to run. We currently offer 3 options: Increase website visits - an image-based ad, Promote a sale or discount - the new version of a Local Deal ad, Get more messages - a text based ad designed to encourage neighbors to send you a direct message.
    • Step 2: Build your ad. For the Increase website visits format, you’ll need a 70 character headline to describe the ad, a 1x1 photo, a call-to-action, and a click through URL for where you want neighbors to be directed when they click on your ads. Similarly, for a Promote a sale or discount ad, you'll add a 70 character headline describing your offer, a relevant 1x1 photo, and a call-to-action. Depending on your selected call-to-action, you may also need to provide a URL or your contact number or email. For the Get more messages format, you can choose 3-10 questions you're open to answering from customers looking to learn more about you.
    • Step 3: Choose your audience. During this step you’ll select the audience on Nextdoor that can view your ads. Using a slider, you can select a radius of up to 30 miles around your business to display your ad. The screen will indicate which ZIP codes are included by highlighting them pink as you expand the radius. The audience selection will have no impact on the cost of your ad.
    • Step 4: Select your budget. Here, you’ll select your daily budget and a campaign duration. We recommend 3 starter plans, which will set your ad as recurring. Alternatively, you can customize your daily budget and duration.
    • Step 5: Add payment and publish. Review your selections and the total cost of your ad. Add payment and publish. Your ad will go through a quick approval process before going live in the neighbor newsfeed, the most visited part of Nextdoor.
  •

Can I pause or cancel my Local Deals ad?

    • To cancel your Local Deal, log in to your business account and select Manage ads located on the “Ads” tab. Click your existing Local Deal. Then tap the teal switch at the bottom to turn your ad from "Live" to "Paused.".
    • To stop any other ads from running, log in to your business account and select Manage ads located on the “Ads” tab. From there, select the ad you wish to cancel, and tap the teal switch at the bottom.
    • When disabling any ad, the switch will turn gray to indicate your ad is no longer running and your spending is paused. You can turn your ads back on and resume spending at any time.
