Vote.org and Nextdoor reached millions of neighbors during elections

Objective: 

For the third consecutive election cycle, Nextdoor worked with Vote.org to use technology to simplify political engagement, increase voter turnout, and strengthen American democracy for neighbors. Our goals were three-fold:

1. Monitor: Monitor the tone and content of conversations on the platform and identify topics that may require interventions
2. Remove/Reduce: Limit the exposure of violative content through enablement of levers and topical product initiatives
3. Inform & Promote: Promote active participation in the election process & local community by directing neighbors to accurate and non-partisan sources of information and encouraging them to discuss politics in a respectful manner
