Today, Nextdoor is excited to announce the launch of our brand new Insights Hub, a destination for all of the latest neighbourhood trends. The Insights Hub features all of our best findings from internal data, neighbour surveys and third party research partner GWI, including topics like the power of proximity when making purchase decisions, the influence of business and product recommendations from neighbours, the importance of making meaningful connections in neighbours’ community and what neighbours look for and expect from brands.
Neighbours come to Nextdoor for the utility and stay for the community. Our insights offer a comprehensive look at what’s currently trending in neighbourhoods and amongst neighbours to help consumers and brands stay informed and make data-driven decisions.
Our latest Insights report, Neighbours Have Found Their New Normal, launched in December 2021 with new data showing how neighbours’ shopping behaviors, brand expectations, and travel plans shaped up for the holiday season and into 2022.

- A work/life balance is essential - 3 in 10 say they want to do work that makes them happier, and 1 in 5 also say saving for retirement has become more important
- Neighbours are rethinking their careers - 56% of neighbours 18-34 in particular are reconsidering their career paths
- Brand expectations have increased - Neighbours expect a lot from brands, especially neighbours ages 55-64, want brands to listen to customer feedback
