Nextdoor drove a 36% more efficient CPA for a mosquito control company

36%

below CPA goal

Objective:

A mosquito control company has made it their mission to help people enjoy their yards more by keeping mosquitoes and ticks at bay. On Nextdoor, neighbors regularly search for recommendations from fellow neighbors, including local home services. The brand saw an opportunity to tap into our intent-driven audience and ran a campaign on the platform to drive awareness and new leads.

Solution

The brand launched their campaign with 3 different creatives, optimizing for the most efficient CPL. To make their ads stand out in the feed, the brand used eye-catching lifestyle imagery, while a special offer helped to drive clicks. The brand also utilized local substitution within Sponsored Post copy to reach a specific, local audience and maximize engagement.

The brand also implemented the Nextdoor Pixel, which enabled the team to accurately measure conversions attributed to their ads on Nextdoor. The Nextdoor Pixel is key to understanding a campaign’s Cost Per Action (CPA) and allows for targeting and creative strategy optimizations, ultimately leading to a more effective Return on Investment (ROI).

Results:

The campaign brought the brand a 26% lower cost-per-action on Nextdoor than the brand’s goal. Their Sponsored Posts featuring lifestyle imagery drove the most leads, while creative featuring imagery of mosquitos was most effective in driving the lowest CPL.

Due in large part to these campaign successes, Nextdoor secured incremental revenue to continue running media promoting services.
