Nextdoor's CRO Heidi Andersen Speaks at POSSIBLE Conference on The Power of Local Influence

Nextdoor's Chief Revenue Officer, Heidi Andersen, recently moderated a session at the POSSIBLE conference about "The Power of Local Influence." The panel featured representatives from H&R Block, Ring, Thumbtack, and Virgin Voyages, and focused on new strategies on how brands are showing  up authentically in local communities and how they are investing back into communities.


During the session, the  panelists explored what local means to them and how brands are leveraging communities to drive results for their business: 

  • Isis Ruiz, the Chief Growth Officer at Virgin Voyages, spoke about how they leverage the cruise community’s recommendations to drive trust and travel inspiration.
  • David Steckel, the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Thumbtack, weighed in on the power of proximity and tapping neighbor recommendations to advocate for your brand.
  • Lindsey Scheftic, the Head of Marketing at Ring, discussed how their strategy has changed by utilizing user generated content to appeal to neighbors on the platform.
  • Angela Davied, the VP Corporate Comms at H&R Block, discussed the various ways in how the brand is involved in giving back to the community
