Severe weather has been an everyday occurrence for many across the country. To help you keep your residents prepared for whatever mother nature may throw your way, we offer the guidance and suggested posts below.

To help encourage and instruct neighbors on how to prepare, we recommend sharing one to three messages each week. Select the posts that are most relevant to your local climate. You can also find dozens of other suggested posts and polls in the Nextdoor Content Library

When severe weather is headed your way, we encourage you to turn to Nextdoor. Here are some steps you can take to keep your neighbors safe:

  • Geo-target communications into service areas or clusters of neighborhoods
  • Send Emergency Alerts when life or property is under threat (such as severe weather warnings and evacuation orders)
  • Communicate about open shelters, warning centers, and other resources
