Objective

Thumbtack - a modern home management platform that helps people care for their home from top to bottom and empowers small businesses nationwide to grow by enabling users to search for, rate, and hire local service providers - partnered with Nextdoor to meet neighbors on the platform searching for services. Given that 77% of Nextdoor neighbors across the U.S. are homeowners and Thumbtack is home to a significant number of home services professionals, including contractors, plumbers, and more, there was no better place than Nextdoor to convert our neighbors into customers.

Solution

Working with Thumbtack’s API, we partnered with the brand to integrate their “Professionals” audience and cards into the Search component to enable Neighbors who search for a service provider to quickly and easily find and book a service.

This unique partnership improved user experience, providing a seamless experience for neighbors to search for and quickly surface home service professionals who met their needs. Neighbors could find local pros, compare prices and book home services in a few simple steps, enabling them to confidently hire with just a few clicks.

We also coupled our search efforts with paid Newsfeed, Newsfeed video, and For Sale and Free placements to drive more awareness of Thumbtack’s services and ROAS for Thumbtack.
